Esperienza di turismo intergenerazionale ed interdisciplinare: arte sacra con giovani ed anziani

Abstract

A research/experimental experience was carried out proposed by the Generational Meetings Laboratory, in collaboration with A.R.I.P.T. Fo.R.P. (Interdisciplinary Research Association of Tourism Psychology-Training, Research, Planning), in a Ministerial School-Work Alternation PCTO program, with the theme “Intergenerationality - interdisciplinarity and Sacred Art”. Students from the fourth year of the Passaglia Art High School in Lucca participated, with the support of the Banca del Monte Foundation and the Lucca Sviluppo Foundation. The intergenerational and interdisciplinary cultural- tourism program was carried out with young people and adults-elderly and activated cognitive and affective processes in a socialization process, through the meeting of artists and experts. It was possible to note that during the program there was a greater knowledge and sharing of ideas in the field of sacred art, in addition to a positive evolution in communication both in groups and in individual relationships. Young people in their behavior with adults-elderly, have gone from an initial approach to a desire to know the other and in a second time have developed empathic interactions. It has also been found that the relationship between young people and the elderly has helped students in the development of their own awareness following the cognitive, relational and realized experiences in the knowledge of the assets of the territory. The ability to transmit professional-personal values and those of cultural heritage to the younger generations, in an intergenerational-interdisciplinary tourism path, therefore becomes a resource, for a reinforcement of their identity.
